Job summary

Virginia State Parks seeks a Parks Asset Management Coordinator to lead the statewide asset tracking system and guide lifecycle planning for park assets. You will analyze asset data, develop maintenance workflows, and support capital prioritization across departments.

The role requires strong knowledge of asset management principles and proficiency with enterprise software, with collaboration across field staff and headquarters. Flexible duty location with Richmond support.

Qualifications

• Detailed knowledge of asset management principles, lifecycle planning, and preventive maintenance practices.
• Experience evaluating asset data for forecasting, budgeting, and reporting.
• Experience establishing performance goals and strategies using data and industry trends.
• Proficiency with Enterprise Asset Management software.
• Experience developing guidelines, workflows, and manuals for asset management processes.
• Demonstrated ability to train and support staff in software utilization and best practices.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the Enterprise Asset Management System expert and primary administrator.
• Oversee statewide asset tracking and data integrity checks.
• Develop workflows and configurations within the asset management system.
• Provide analysis for asset lifecycle, replacement planning, and capital project prioritization.
• Develop and implement asset management procedures, work plans, and performance metrics.
• Complete annual audits and on-site park visits to evaluate asset conditions.
• Advance preventive maintenance workflows and sustainability goals in asset lifecycle management.
• Coordinate training and technical assistance to field and headquarters staff.
• Collaborate with divisions on budget development, capital planning, risk mitigation, and integration of asset data.
