Job summary

The City of Lewisville, TX is hiring a Maintenance Worker to uphold park grounds, trails, and vegetation using electric-powered equipment and hand tools. You will mow, trim, weed, irrigate, inspect for damage, and perform general repairs while engaging with the public in a municipal setting.

Responsibilities include maintaining facilities, painting, trash removal, and supporting events. A valid Texas driver’s license and safety compliance are required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Six months of general landscaping experience preferred.
• Relevant licenses/certifications in irrigation, pest control, arboriculture or pool/aquatic operations are advantageous.
• Ability to operate powered tools safely and follow written/verbal instructions.

Responsibilities

• Maintain grounds by mowing, edging, trimming park areas and beds.
• Perform irrigation checks and repairs; maintain and repair facilities and park amenities.
• Replace fences, repair structures, paint, clean trails and perform general maintenance.
• Inspect areas for damage or vandalism; remove weeds and trim vegetation along trails.
• Trash pickup and ensure safe operation of all tools and equipment.
• Support events and special projects as needed; interact with the public professionally.
