Job summary

The City of Lewisville is seeking a dedicated grounds and landscape crew member to maintain public trees, trails, and adjacent vegetation. You will operate electric-powered equipment and hand tools while engaging with residents in the field, supporting events, and performing routine landscaping tasks across city facilities.

Requirements include a High School Diploma or GED, at least six months in tree care or landscaping, and the ability to obtain ISA or related credentials within six months of

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Six months experience in tree care, turf maintenance or landscaping.
• Must obtain ISA Certified Arborist or Master Naturalist or National Green Infrastructure Certification or National Association of Landscape Professionals Horticultural Technician credential within six months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Maintain public trees, shrubs, flower beds and planters city-wide.
• Maintain city trails, trail corridors and related vegetation.
• Perform maintenance using electric-powered equipment and hand tools.
• Interact with the public while working in the field.
• Support other divisions with events and projects as needed.
• Follow safety procedures and departmental policies.
