Job summary

The City of Lewisville in Texas is seeking a Parks Maintenance Worker to maintain parks, athletic fields, facilities, and playgrounds. The role includes mowing, edging, irrigation checks, fence and structure repairs, and cleaning trails, with responsibilities also covering trash removal and regular inspections.

You will operate a variety of tools and equipment, support special events, and perform related tasks.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Six (6) months of general landscaping experience.
• Licenses or certifications may substitute experience as listed in the posting.

Responsibilities

• Maintain parks including open spaces, athletic fields, facilities, and playgrounds.
• Mow, edge, trim, fertilize, irrigate checks and repairs; maintain fences and structures.
• Perform trash pickup, inspect areas for damage, vandalism, and cleanliness.
• Maintain and repair facilities, shelters, buildings, and park amenities; paint and clean as needed.
• Operate vehicles, equipment and tools; support special events and projects.
