Job summary

The City of Belton is seeking a Maintenance Technician I/II to perform general maintenance, repairs, and installations at parks, medians, and municipal facilities. This role involves outdoor and indoor tasks under the Parks and Recreation Department.

Responsibilities include maintaining athletic fields and landscaping, operating light equipment, and assisting in building maintenance while adhering to safety regulations. On-site work with potential evenings/weekends.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• At least 1 year of Parks maintenance experience.
• Valid Class C Texas Driver’s License; higher class may be required after employment.

Responsibilities

• Maintain athletic fields and grounds, ensuring safety and cleanliness.
• Perform landscaping, mowing, trimming, and water grounds as needed.
• Assist with park buildings; paint, repair, and install fixtures.
• Maintain equipment; conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance.
• Follow safety protocols and wear required protective gear.
