Job summary

Lincoln County Parks Department in Oregon is seeking a Parks Host Coordinator to provide year-round coordination and administrative support for the Park Host program. Responsibilities include recruitment, scheduling, training, supervision, safety programs, and inventory management.

The role oversees campground revenue deposits, communications between park management and hosts, and acts as the main contact for park hosts.

Qualifications

• Associates and/or professional certification in parks-related fields.
• Two to three years of relevant experience managing a small team.
• Oregon Driver's License within 30 days of hire.
• Previous experience in volunteer coordination, customer service, or park management preferred.

Responsibilities

• Recruitment: Develop and implement recruitment strategies to attract qualified Park Hosts; conduct interviews and assist in hiring; ensure onboarding and training.
• Training, Safety and Procedures: Develop and coordinate training programs, maintain SOPs and safety docs, lead safety meetings, support Park Hosts.
• Scheduling & Coordination: Create/manage schedules, adjust for seasons/events, assist with short-notice staffing, track hours.
• Supervision & Support: Serve as primary contact, provide guidance, monitor performance, uphold policies and customer service standards.
• Administrative: Prepare weekly campground revenue deposits in summer, manage orders for uniforms and supplies, maintain inventories.
• Community Engagement / Volunteer Coordination: Organize events with Park Hosts, schedule volunteers for clean-ups and events.
