Job summary

Municipality of Anchorage is seeking a Park Maintenance Worker to help maintain park lands, facilities, trails, and grounds across MOA sites. The role involves seasonal and routine upkeep, including turf and irrigation work, litter removal, fence and shelter maintenance, and event support, with varied shifts and locations.

Applicants must have at least three months of related maintenance experience and a valid Alaska driver's license.

Qualifications

• Three months of experience in lawn, landscape, trails, construction, grounds, or facility maintenance.
• Valid State of Alaska Driver’s License with satisfactory driving record at time of hire.
• Employment is conditional based on a satisfactory background check (criminal, education, and employment history).
• The Municipality of Anchorage participates in the U.S. Department of Homeland Security E-verify program.

Responsibilities

• Maintain MOA park lands, sports facilities, outdoor recreation facilities, trails, and municipality-owned grounds.
• Perform routine maintenance on a variety of parks or facilities, including turf, irrigation, litter collection, trail work, and equipment cleaning and repair.
• Support special events and general grounds and facility care as assigned.
