Qualifications

• Has general knowledge of standard methods, materials and equipment in grounds maintenance.
• Understands cleaning procedures and safety practices.
• Able to follow written and oral instructions and work with others.

Responsibilities

• Ensures safety of city equipment, property and others by following proper safety procedures.
• Performs routine checks and preventive maintenance on equipment and reports malfunctions.
• Operates mowers and lawn equipment for lawns, fields and recreational areas using tractors, mowers, weed eaters and related tools.
• Transports and loads tools and equipment for assignments and assists in event setup and cleanup.
• Performs other related work as assigned and prioritizes tasks with supervisor guidance.
