Job summary

City of Baytown is seeking a dedicated outdoor grounds maintenance worker to keep parks clean, safe, and welcoming. You'll operate mowers, edgers, and other equipment, perform routine repairs, and assist at City events. This role supports daily park upkeep and seasonal tasks to ensure safe, attractive facilities for residents and visitors.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record; TX license within 90 days.
• Preferred lawn maintenance experience.

Responsibilities

• Operates weed eaters, rakes, blowers, and mowers.
• Loads equipment and may drive to locations.
• Prunes and removes dead or damaged trees and shrubs.
• Performs preventative maintenance on equipment and small repairs.
• Performs other related duties in parks and facilities.
