Job summary

The City of Greenville (SC) is seeking a Parks and Grounds Maintenance Worker to perform inspection, maintenance, and repair of parks, cemeteries, trails, shelters, and related facilities. You will install and remove plant material, operate various mowers and tools, and assist with special events and storm cleanups.

Requirements include a High School diploma or equivalent, at least one year of related experience, and a valid South Carolina Class D driver’s license.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum one year of landscaping/grounds maintenance experience.
• Valid South Carolina Class D Driver's License.

Responsibilities

• Maintain playgrounds, cemeteries, trails, shelters, sports fields and courts, waterways, monuments, and related facilities.
• Operate and maintain equipment; perform routine mowing, trimming, fertilizing, and pesticide applications as needed.
• Assist with setup, teardown, and cleanup of events and storm-related tasks.
• Identify and report safety hazards; follow safety procedures and use protective equipment.
