Job summary

The City of Greenville is seeking a Laborer to join the landscaping crew and help maintain outdoor spaces for the community. You will perform a range of manual tasks including mowing, mulching, trimming, and equipment operation to keep parks and recreational facilities in top condition.

The role requires a High School Diploma or GED and at least six months of manual labor experience, with a schedule Monday through Friday, 7:00 am to 3:30 pm; some evenings and events may be needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED; and six months of manual labor experience.
• Ability to perform a variety of manual labor in all weather conditions.
• Ability to work as part of a crew and communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

• Serves as a crew member for parks and landscaping maintenance work.
• Maintains and repairs park facilities through manual labor.
• Loads and unloads supplies and materials.
• Fills in holes in parks and completes planting, mulching, trimming, and spraying herbicides.
• Operates mowers, tractors, and implements to complete landscaping duties.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
