Job summary

The City of Mission Texas is seeking a Parks Groundskeeper to maintain park grounds, perform lawn care, pruning, irrigation, and minor repairs. You will operate mowers, trimmers, blowers, and hand tools, and support maintenance projects across parks facilities with emphasis on safety and public relation standards.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED (preferred) and at least six months of lawn care experience or on‑the‑job training.

Qualifications

• Six months experience in lawn care is preferred or on-the-job training.
• Knowledge of proper sequence of activities required to perform the job.

Responsibilities

• Plant flowers, shrubs, and trees as assigned.
• Spread fertilizer as directed.
• Operate a push mower, lawn tractor, line trimmer, and blower.
• Irrigates parks lawn as scheduled.
• Keep assigned park area clean and attractive.
• Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs on tools and equipment.
