Job summary

Shieldwall Services LLC is seeking a supervisor to oversee maintenance of parks and recreational facilities and grounds. You will plan schedules, supervise crews including inmate labor, inspect playgrounds, and coordinate athletic field prep for events.

Responsibilities include equipment planning, safety adherence, and addressing public and departmental requests. A valid driver's license is required with CDL eligibility. Outdoor work in various weather conditions is expected.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of landscaping and grounds maintenance principles, practices, techniques, and equipment.
• Knowledge of park maintenance methods and athletic facilities repair.
• Experience in supervision and reporting.
• Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.

Responsibilities

• Plans and directs daily, weekly, and monthly maintenance schedules.
• Analyzes equipment needs and recommends purchases.
• Attends meetings to discuss work problems, policy changes, and safety guidelines.
• Receives and acts on requests from other departments and the public.
• Supervises work crews in parks maintenance and supervises inmate laborers.
• Inspects playground equipment and oversees repairs.
• Supervises carpentry work for park facilities and repairs roofs/windows.
• Coordinates athletic field prep before and after events.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
