Job summary

Oakland County Parks seeks a Part Time Parks Worker for Independence Oaks and Orion Oaks in Clarkston, MI. You will perform routine customer service and groundskeeping tasks across park facilities including campsites, dog parks, and pavilions.

Shifts are evenings and weekends, with day shifts on select Tuesdays and Sundays. Use of park software and safety practices are required, with opportunities to assist maintenance and operations as needed.

Qualifications

• Age requirement: 16+ with HS diploma or GED
• Valid US driver’s license
• Pass the employment medical exam

Responsibilities

• Answer guest inquiries and provide directions within the park
• Keep work areas clean, organized, and presentable; stock and merchandise as needed
• Perform customer service and office tasks, including typing park correspondence
• Assist with groundskeeping and maintenance using tools and equipment
• Support safety of park guests and respond to emergencies as directed
• Use county software to complete assignments
