Ideal candidates bring two years as Gardener II or three years in a similar landscape role, plus a California driver license. The role emphasizes teamwork, safety, and long-term professional growth in public parks.

Formación

• Two years (full-time equivalent) as Gardener II in the City of Oakland or three years in a similar landscape/park role.
• Equivalency: an AA degree in horticulture may substitute two years of experience.
• Possession of a valid California Driver's License.
• Must have strength and stamina to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Background check and health screening may be required.

Responsabilidades

• Maintain landscaped parks, gardens, and green spaces.
• Lead a work crew or work independently as assigned.
• Operate a variety of vehicles and equipment.
• Train staff and transport them to project sites.
• Perform complex gardening and horticultural assignments.
