Qualifications

• Education: Completion of the twelfth grade or equivalent.
• Two years full‑time Gardener II experience or three years of comparable landscape maintenance work.
• Possession of a valid California Driver's License.
• Must possess strength and stamina to lift and carry equipment up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Maintaining landscaped parks, gardens, sports fields and green spaces.
• Leading a work crew or working independently as assigned.
• Operating a variety of vehicles and equipment.
• Helping train assigned personnel and transporting staff to and from project sites.
• Performing complex gardening and horticultural assignments.
