Job summary

NOVA Parks seeks a Senior Project Manager - Design & Construction to lead complex capital projects from planning through construction, including ground-up park development, major renovations, and master planning. Responsibilities include budget management, permitting, procurement, and cross-functional leadership across architects, engineers, and contractors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in a relevant field and licensure as noted; strong background in land development and park planning.
• Ten to fifteen years of professional design and project management experience in capital projects; extensive knowledge of planning, bidding, contracting, and procurement.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning, budgeting, design, permitting, bidding, and contracting of park development projects.
• Prepare RFPs and manage design/professional services contracts in line with policy and procedures.
• Manage consultant teams on feasibility studies, permit plans, and construction documents.
• Lead public engagement processes for park planning and outreach.
• Oversee construction activities, schedules, budgets, and turnover to park staff.
• Ensure safety standards and compliance with codes and NOVA Parks standards.
• Assist with land acquisitions assessments and environmental studies.
• Mentor team members and coordinate with Park Operations.
