Job summary

Socket.dev is seeking a Shift Manager to help run a busy parking site in Alexandria, VA. You will supervise cashiers, manage traffic flow, and ensure safety and service standards during each shift. This role requires a high school diploma, at least one year of related experience, and a valid driver’s license.

You will report to the Operations Manager and may cover for front‑line staff as needed. Weekdays 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM; you must maintain the uniform and greet customers professionally,

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• One year related experience preferred.
• Ability to read and comprehend verbal instructions and written correspondence.
• Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Ability to safely drive a vehicle if needed.
• Professional and friendly demeanor with customers.

Responsibilities

• Ticketing and parking transactions performed as required.
• Verify cash bank and start-of-shift supplies.
• Issue tickets and collect payments securely.
• Maintain a neat cashier booth and report maintenance needs.
• Provide courteous customer service and resolve issues.
• Complete daily shift paperwork with transaction details.
• Follow Operations Manager instructions and company policies.
