Job summary

Powder Mountain is seeking a Parking Lead to supervise a team of attendants and ensure a safe, efficient parking experience for guests at the resort. You will direct vehicle flow, greet guests, and coordinate daily staffing to align with volumes.

The role requires 19+ years of age, guest-facing experience, and strong communication skills; ability to work flexible hours including holidays and weekends is essential.

Qualifications

  • 19+ years of age.
  • Experience in parking lot direction or traffic control is preferred.
  • Professional guest facing experience is required.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and mentor parking attendants.
  • Assist in daily staff scheduling to match business volumes.
  • Design vehicle flow and train staff on it.
  • Welcome and acknowledge guests arriving and departing.
  • Direct and control traffic into, through, and out of parking spaces.
  • Set up parking lot signs and cones; maintain markers and wands.
  • Enforce paid parking or violations using handheld device.
  • Collect daily parking data and statistics.
  • Ensure safety regulations and company policies are followed.

Lead a team that welcomes our guests to the resort safely with a smile. Facilitate efficient entry and exit to parking areas at Powder Mountain. Maximize utilization of available parking spaces by guiding every vehicle to a space.Job Title: Parking LeadDepartment: ParkingStatus: Seasonal (FT & PT)Reporting To: Parking ManagerKey Responsibilities:Lead and mentor parking attendant staffAssist in daily scheduling location of staff to align with business volumesOffer training on how to design vehicle flowBe a source of knowledge for parking attendant staff.Acknowledge every vehicle arriving or leaving the resort with a waveGreet and welcome guests as they exit their vehicleEvaluate parking to ensure optimal utilization of area and maintain safety of all guestsDirect and control traffic flow into, through and out of parking spaces and lotsClearly communicate using words and hand motions to safely direct vehiclesProvide excellent guest service and knowledge of information in all aspects of Powder MountainDaily setup and teardown of parking lot signs and cones.Maintain parking markers and directional wands/flags in good operating conditionEnforcement of paid parking or other parking violations using handheld deviceProvide guests with a smooth and orderly parking experienceCollects daily parking data and statistics through counting vehicles in lotsBe punctual and ready to work at the start of all scheduled shiftsEnsure compliance to all safety regulations and company policies and inform management in case of violationsSnow shoveling and sanding walkways as neededOther duties as assigned in various mountain departments needing assistanceRequirements and/or Qualifications:19+ years of agePrevious experience in parking lot direction or traffic control - preferredProfessional experience working in a guest facing role - requiredFlexible schedule including days or nightsMust be able to work holidays and weekendsHave reliable transportation to and from the resort in all weather conditionsAbility to clearly communicate in English.Basic knowledge of 2-way radio and mobile device useValid driver’s license with a satisfactory driving recordAbility to clearly communicate in EnglishPhysical Requirements - Must be able to perform physical activities such as, but not limited to:Full range of body movementsReach, push, pull, lift, and carry objects that may be heavy (30+ pounds)Prolonged periods of standing, walking, bending, and twistingWalk on even/uneven/slippery terrainClimb/descend stairsManual dexterity to operate manual tools and power equipment on a constant basisSafely handle hazardous materialsWorking Environment:Work is performed primarily outside and is exposed to extreme temperatures, sun and wind, inclement weather (rain, snow, ice) and high altitudes (9,000ft+). Team Members can be exposed to engine noise and exhaust. Team Members will be working around moving machines/equipment.
