The Parking Manager will provide direct supervision of parking staff. Functions as advisor to unit and administration and sets goals and objectives for team members. Analyzes and resolves problems through drawing from prior experiences. Interprets policies (e.g., fiscal management, HR, contracts and grants, resource management in defined areas) and demonstrates solid subject matter knowledge. Supervise, train, and aid in the hiring of parking leads and parking attendants. Define seasonal budget and adjust staff for daily needs.Job Title: Parking ManagerDepartment: ParkingStatus: Seasonal FTReporting To: Director of Parking & TransportationKey Responsibilities:Provides leadership and management to the Parking Attendant staff with on-site presenceManages employee scheduling, work assignments, communication, and personnel developmentEvaluates employees performance, gives regular feedback, and conducts annual performance reviewsMonitors work activities to ensure compliance with policies and procedures.Makes recommendations for changes and improvements to existing standards, policies and proceduresOversees budgetLead the development of new programs, policies and other special assignments related to the event parking operations as needed.Manages the program and operations for Powder Mountain parking and satellite parking locationsDesign educational staff training modules that include detailed job orientation at the start of employment as well as through regular staff meetings and ongoing training to ensure regulatory complianceCollects daily parking data and statistics to improve overall resort parking experienceManages the enforcement of parking payment violations and communicates appeals professionallyMaintains parking permit databaseRequirements and/or Qualifications:Strong leadership and management skillsAbility to organize processes and peopleMust be able to work independently, make decisions and problem solveAbility to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and foster a teamwork atmosphere.Ability to maintain current, accurate documentation and comply with all Federal, State and local regulations, Powder Mountain policies and procedures, and relevant industry standards.Knowledge, skill and competency in working with diverse populationsAbility to respond appropriately and in a timely manner to emergencies and crisis situationsSkilled at providing workshops, training, and outreach programsProficiency with computer software, especially Google platform.Flexibility to work days or nights as operations needs dictates3-5 years' experience overseeing vehicle flow and parking attendance.Experience with event parking or large parking operationsCollege degree - preferred21 years or olderDiploma or GED RequiredPhysical Requirements:Full range of body movementsReach, push, pull, lift, and carry objects that may be heavy (30+ pounds)Prolonged periods of standing, walking, bending, and twistingWalk on even/uneven/slippery terrainClimb/descend stairsManual dexterity to operate manual tools and power equipment on a constant basisSafely handle hazardous materialsWorking Environment:Work is performed primarily outside and is exposed to extreme temperatures, sun and wind, inclement weather (rain, snow, ice) and high altitudes (9,000ft+). Team Members can be exposed to engine noise and exhaust. Team Members will be working around moving machines/equipment.
