Expect outdoor, physical work with PPE and strict safety practices this winter season. This role supports the Home Services team, reporting to the Home Services Manager, with flexible FT/PT shifts and potential overtime during heavy snow events.

Whether you're just starting out or bringing years of experience, Powder Mountain offers a rewarding environment to grow, contribute, and thrive during the winter season## About this RoleJob Title: Snow Removal Technician, Level I, II & III Department: Home Services Status: Seasonal (FT & PT) Reporting To: Home Services ManagerKey Responsibilities:* Hazard Identification: Monitor and mitigate risks such as black ice, slippery stairs, and drainage blockages* Safety Compliance: Follow all safety procedures, including use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and best practices in winter terrain* Adaptability: Support additional snow removal and other duties as assigned, including during peak weather events or shift changes* Manual Snow & Ice Removal: Clear stairs, decks, walkways, driveways, and other key areas using hand tools* De-Icing & Surface Treatment: Apply salt, sand, and other de-icing agents with attention to safety and environmental impact* Communication & Reporting: Keep supervisors informed of site conditions, progress, safety concerns, and equipment needs* Team Support: Assist team members in coordinated snow clearing efforts across homes, lodges, and shared spaces* Gear & Appearance: Wear proper cold-weather gear and maintain a neat, professional appearance while on duty* Guest Service & Interaction: Greet guests and homeowners courteously. Provide friendly, helpful interactions and guidance to residents and guests throughout the HOALevel II Performance Expectations:* Small Equipment Operation: Operate snow blowers and similar powered tools safely and independently* Mentorship & Team Support: Assist in training Basic Technicians by demonstrating proper techniques and safety practicesLevel III Performance Expectations:* Experience: Minimum 1 year of snow removal or equivalent outdoor facilities experience required. Prior leadership or supervisory experience strongly preferred* Certifications: OSHA 10 certification preferred (or willingness to obtain)* Lead and Supervise Crews: Direct snow removal teams in clearing stairs, decks, walkways, driveways, and other priority access areas to ensure safety and accessibility* Hazard Identification: Monitor and mitigate risks such as black ice, slippery stairs, and drainage blockages* Standards & Protocol Enforcement: Uphold team compliance with all safety procedures, professional appearance guidelines, and conduct expectations* Site Safety & Quality Assurance: Conduct regular inspections of work sites to verify safe operations, environmental stewardship (including salt management), and quality control* Medium to Small Equipment Operation & Maintenance: Operate, inspect, and maintain advanced snow removal machinery, including snow blowers, plow trucks, and related equipment* Hazard & Incident Reporting: Communicate with management to promptly report safety hazards, property damage, or equipment malfunctions* Weather Monitoring & Planning: Track real-time weather conditions and forecasts to proactively plan, adapt, and schedule snow management activities* Team Training & Development: Train, mentor, and assess basic and intermediate technicians, fostering a culture of continuous learning and high performance* Perform Core Technician Duties: Fulfill all responsibilities expected of Basic and Intermediate Snow Removal Technicians as requiredRequirements and/or Qualifications:* Age Requirement: Must be 18 years or older* Personal Protective Equipment (PPE): Candidates are required to supply their own weather-appropriate and waterproof footwear (e.g., snow boots) and face protection (such as a balaclava)* Safety First Mentality: Ensure compliance to all safety regulations and company policies and inform management in case of violations* Reliability: Dependable and punctual with a strong work ethic and positive attitude and have reliable transportation to and from the resort in all weather conditions* Team-Oriented: Willing to take direction and contribute to a supportive team environment with a good attitude, positive mindset, and able to adapt to an ever-changing work environment and situation* Technical Skills: Proficient with shovels and de-icing tools in variable winter conditions. Willingness to learn and train* Communication: Reliable, clear communicator with a team-first attitude and professional guest interaction* Schedule Flexibility: Available for early morning shifts, weekends, holidays, and unplanned snowstorms throughout the seasonPhysical Requirements- Must be able to perform physical activities such as, but not limited to:* Full range of body movements* Reach, push, pull, lift, and carry objects that may be heavy (50+ pounds)* Prolonged periods of standing, walking, bending, twisting, and repetitive actions* Walk on even/uneven/slippery terrain* Climb/descend stairs* Manual dexterity to operate manual tools and power equipment on a constant basis* Safely handle hazardous materialsWorking Environment:Work is performed outside and is exposed to extreme temperatures, sun and wind, inclement weather (rain, wind, snow, ice) and high altitudes (9,000ft+). Team Members can be exposed to engine noise and exhaust. Team Members will be working around moving machines/equipment.
