Job summary

City of Fort Lauderdale seeks a Parking Facilities Supervisor to oversee operation and maintenance of municipal parking facilities, including security staff and related contracts. The role involves budgeting, planning preventive maintenance, and coordinating with multiple departments.

Essential duties include supervising staff, interviewing candidates, coordinating maintenance programs, and ensuring safety and customer service standards across all City parking facilities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 3+ years in construction, maintenance, and repair of parking facilities.
• 2+ years of supervisory experience in Parking Facilities.
• Mechanical and electronic knowledge and experience.
• Valid Florida driver’s license with clean driving record within 30 days of hire.
• Additional qualifying experience or coursework may substitute for required experience.

Responsibilities

• Supervise staff, delegate tasks, and conduct performance evaluations.
• Interview applicants and participate in hiring decisions and discipline.
• Plan and manage preventive maintenance for City parking facilities.
• Coordinate security patrols and related security responsibilities.
• Assist in developing the annual operating budget.
• Respond to public inquiries and resolve customer concerns.
