Job summary

SP+ is seeking a Traffic Control Attendant in New Jersey to monitor lot activity, guide vehicles, and ensure a safe, orderly flow of traffic. You will greet customers, answer questions, and maintain a clean, presentable environment across shifts.

Requirements include a valid driver’s license, ability to operate in a fast-paced setting, and willingness to work varied shifts. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, and retirement plans, with tip eligibility where applicable.

Qualifications

• Education/Experience: Less than High School education or one month related experience, training or an equivalent combination.
• License: Valid state-issued driver's license with current address and acceptable driving record.
• Availability: 2nd/3rd shift and weekends may be required.
• Language: Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions and write simple correspondence.
• Mathematical: Addition, subtraction, two-digit numbers and money calculations.
• Appearance: Maintain a neat, clean appearance in uniform.
• Physical: Standing, walking; occasional lifting up to 25 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the appropriate number of cars is kept on location throughout shift and the lot is clean and presentable.
• Courteously assist customers by answering questions.
• Control traffic at entrances and exits as needed.
• Report accidents, safety hazards, or policy violations to management.
• Be familiar with major streets, landmarks and freeways in the area of the lot.
• Assist with other duties as needed.
