Job summary

LAZ Parking Chicago, LLC is seeking a Parking Regulation Officer to enforce local parking ordinances, issue citations, and resolve customer disputes. The role involves outdoor patrols on foot or by bicycle and detailed input into handheld devices.

The ideal candidate will be comfortable working outside through seasonal weather and have strong customer service experience and street knowledge. Competitive hourly pay and full-time scheduling accompany benefits.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent.
• General knowledge of streets and directions is required.
• A minimum of 1 year of outdoor work experience is required.
• Experience operating a bicycle is required.

Responsibilities

• Monitor vehicles violating city ordinances and issuing citations in accordance with post regulations by following an assigned route on foot or by bicycle.
• Bike and/or walk for long periods of time in a variety of weather conditions.
• Screen for parking placards and permits for special privileges within approved areas.
• Resolve customer complaints per policies and procedures.
• Upload a handheld computer to obtain current information required for work daily.
• Maintain and care for all company-issued equipment.
