Job summary

LAZ Parking is seeking a Uniformed Traffic Officer in Columbus, OH to enforce local parking ordinances and assist customers with parking needs. The role involves accurately keying vehicle license plates and issuing parking citations using a handheld system.

The position requires strong customer service, cash handling, and outdoor work experience, with opportunities to handle special assignments and data entry tasks. The role is non-exempt and may include overtime per applicable laws.

Qualifications

• Strong customer service experience.
• Cash handling experience is required.
• Parking industry experience is preferred but not required.
• A minimum of 6 months of outdoor work experience is required.

Responsibilities

• Monitor on-street parking meters for violations following an assigned route.
• Issue City/Municipality approved parking citations for violations.
• Upload a handheld computer to obtain current information for daily work.
• Screen for parking placards and permits for special privileges.
• Resolve customer complaints per policies and procedures.
• Maintain and care for all company-issued equipment.
• Assist with special assignments and projects as requested.
• Other related duties as assigned.
