Job summary

City of Manassas, VA is seeking a Full-Time Parking Enforcement Officer to patrol the city, enforce parking regulations, and perform school crossings. The role includes issuing tickets, transporting official documents, and educating the public about parking rules.

Requires a High School diploma or GED, two years of related experience (or equivalent), and a Virginia driver’s license. Background investigation and post-offer drug test are required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Data entry and computer skills strongly preferred.
• Two years related job experience or equivalent combination of education, training and experience.

Responsibilities

• Patrol City of Manassas to enforce parking ordinances and issue tickets as required.
• Perform school crossings and direct traffic at busy intersections and events.
• Enter data of parking citations and offender information into the computer system.
• Deliver special documents to city sites such as courthouse, City Hall, DMV, Public Works, and City Attorney.
• Maintain knowledge of parking/traffic codes and attend trainings.
