Responsibilities

• Enforces city parking ordinances by patrolling metered, time-zoned, and restricted areas and issues citations.
• Responds to complaints, assists the public, and provides information as needed.
• Uses NCIC/VCIN for information queries during duties.
• Inspects meters and vehicle tags; requests repairs for malfunctioning meters and ensures licensing validity.
• Prepares daily duty reports; testifies in court for contested or unpaid citations.
• Operates an assigned dept. vehicle and may use LPR technology; assists with traffic control and special events.
• Performs related work as required.
