Job summary

The University of Virginia Parking and Transportation Department is seeking Enforcement Officers to maintain order on Grounds in Charlottesville. As an Enforcement Officer, you will utilize LPR devices to issue citations and assist as a garage ambassador, sign shop worker, or maintenance support, serving as the face of Parking at UVA.

This non-exempt, on-site role requires a high school diploma, 8 months of work experience, and a Virginia driver’s license with a clean record.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• At least 8 months of work experience.
• Valid State of Virginia Driver's License with a clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Use LPR devices to issue citations for unpermitted or improperly parked vehicles.
• Communicate with Parking Operations Manager by phone, text or email.
• Coordinate towing with Parking Operations Manager.
• Patrol parking areas on Grounds including garages/lots and ParkMobile spaces.
• Perform other duties as assigned by leadership.
• Work hours across two shifts: 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m. to 12 a.m.; weekend/evening shifts may be required for events.
