Job summary

SP+ in Rockford, IL is seeking a Parking Attendant to deliver friendly customer service and assist with payment at automated systems while keeping entrances clean.

You will guide drivers, quote rates, handle transactions, monitor lanes, and resolve issues with supervision as needed. A high school diploma and valid driver’s license are required, plus availability for second/third shifts and weekends.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent
• Experience: Experience with automated parking access control hardware and software or high aptitude for technology
• Availability to work 2nd/3rd shift and weekends
• License: Valid state-issued driver’s license
• Mathematical: basic arithmetic including making change
• Language: English reading/writing/comprehension for customer interactions
• Reasoning: apply common-sense instructions to tasks
• Adaptability: handle changes in work environment
• Judgment: good judgment in tasks and customer interactions
• Other: ability to handle transactions and present professionally

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with payment to automated revenue control equipment
• Guide customers with parking services and ensure smooth traffic flow
• Lead programs to improve client and customer satisfaction
• Manage day-to-day activities at the location
• Monitor pay-in lanes and assist customers
• Interact with customers in a friendly, professional manner
• Help customers who forgot where they parked their vehicle
• Conduct garage and facility audits as required
• Count cash at shift start to reconcile starting total
• Provide quotes for parking services
• Direct customers to city locations
• Resolve customer complaints with supervisor support
• Answer phone courteously when required
• Maintain cleanliness of the facility and surrounding area
• Present a professional appearance in uniform
• Arrive on time for scheduled shifts
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor
