Job summary

SP+ in Honolulu is hiring for a Parking Enforcement Officer to monitor streets, lots, and campuses for policy compliance. The role requires serving customers, issuing citations, and assisting with maintenance and event-related parking duties, with pay of $20.00–$21.00 per hour.

Availability for evenings and weekends is required, and a valid driver’s license is needed. This position emphasizes independent work, good judgment, and high levels of courtesy in a busy environment, with a strong focus

Qualifications

• Knowledge of the area geography they enforce.
• Hazards and safety precautions knowledge.
• Ability to use a handheld computer.
• Ability to operate a motorized vehicle or bicycle.
• Ability to understand and apply parking regulations.
• Ability to interact with others in a courteous and tactful manner.
• Ability to walk for extended periods.
• Ability to work in all weather conditions.
• Must be 18 years of age or older at time of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service about directions, events, and parking policies.
• Issue citations and warnings with handheld device or tickets.
• Work solo with sound judgment and diplomacy.
• Assist maintenance with parking equipment and facility upkeep.
• Assist in collecting parking revenues and fees.
• Assist event staff with parking for events and traffic control.
• Assist with permit sales data entry and frontline service.
• Other related duties as assigned.
