Job summary

City of Millcreek is seeking a Code Compliance Inspector to enforce city codes and ordinances through routine inspections and investigations. The role focuses on parking enforcement, property compliance, and coordinating with Public Works and Police to address violations.

The inspector will assess violations, provide guidance to property owners, and help ensure safe and orderly enforcement across Millcreek.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• At least two years of public contact experience with inspections or code enforcement.
• Ability to read maps and interpret ordinances and regulations.
• Excellent oral communication and interpersonal skills for public interaction.

Responsibilities

• Enforce parking ordinances citywide, including City Hall and rights-of-way.
• Conduct parking patrols and respond to citizen complaints.
• Issue warnings, citations, and enforcement actions per policies.
• Investigate complaints, document findings, and prepare reports.
• Coordinate with Public Works, Police and other departments on enforcement issues.
• Inspect properties for code violations and advise owners on compliance.
• Check for zoning and sign compliance; prepare investigative reports.
• Provide testimony as required and coordinate with city legal staff.
