Job summary

SP Plus Corporation is seeking a Parking Attendant at our Fresno location. Responsibilities include guiding customers to spaces, counting vehicles, issuing warnings for policy violations, patrolling levels, and assisting with parking equipment maintenance. You must be reliable, in uniform, and ready to work 2nd/3rd shifts or weekends as needed.

The role requires basic reading/writing, math for cash handling, and a neat appearance. A valid driver’s license is required if driving a company vehicle.

Qualifications

• Education/Experience Required: Less than High School education or one month related experience, training or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• License Requirement: A valid state-issued driver’s license with a current address and acceptable driving record if driving a company vehicle.
• Availability to Work: 2nd/3rd shift and/or weekends may be required.
• Language Skills: Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos; write simple correspondence.
• Mathematical Skills: Add, subtract, two digit numbers, multiply and divide with 10s and 100s in dollars.
• Appearance: Neat and clean in uniform at all times.
• Physical Demands: Stand, walk, use hands; may lift up to 25 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Direct incoming customers to available parking spaces.
• Count vehicles on location throughout shift.
• Write and issue violation warnings for garage policy violations.
• Patrol parking levels on foot or in motor carts.
• Assist customers who forgot where they parked.
• Be on time and in uniform for every shift.
• Assist Customers and direct to Facility Manager when needed.
• Control traffic at entrances and exits.
• Assist in maintenance and repair of parking equipment and tasks as directed.
• Report accidents or safety hazards to the Facility Manager.
