Job summary

Atlantic County seeks a midlevel park administrator to assist the County Park Superintendent with maintenance and development programs across a division of the park system. You will supervise foremen and staff, assist in budget preparation and monitoring, and help plan rehabilitation projects for parks and reservations.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in a related field and at least one year of management experience, with a New Jersey driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree as listed in Education section.
• One year of management experience involving planning care and maintenance of large tracts of ground and preparation/administration of budgets.
• Possession of a driver’s license valid in New Jersey.

Responsibilities

• Midlevel project management, including administrative oversight of park programs and grant administration.
• Supervises foremen and other employees engaged in maintaining, repairing, and installing park facilities and infrastructure.
• Assists in preparing budget estimates and maintaining records of personnel, equipment, materials, and time spent.
• Plans for park improvement including structures, play fields, and roadways.
• Compiles and analyzes statistics used in developing public recreational facilities.
