Job summary

Harford County Government is seeking a grounds and facilities maintenance worker to perform a wide range of routine tasks on parks, recreation facilities, and county properties. Initially under supervision, you will gain skills to work independently with progress checks.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, one year of related experience, a valid Class C driver's license, and the ability to lift up to 100 pounds.

Qualifications

• Graduation from high school, vocational-technical school, or possession of a GED certificate.
• One year of experience in building/ground maintenance, landscaping or farming work.
• A valid Class C driver’s license with no more than three points.

Responsibilities

• Grooms ball diamonds and erects goal posts and backstops.
• Removes trash and performs light janitorial tasks.
• Operates equipment such as mowers, trimmers, saws, and tractors.
• Drives vehicles and transports equipment; assists in snow operations.
• Performs maintenance/repair work on county property and assists in landscaping.
