Job summary

Carroll County Government's Hashawha Environmental Center seeks a Maintenance Technician to upkeep Hashawha and Bear Branch facilities and grounds. You will operate landscaping equipment, perform janitorial duties, and support maintenance tasks to keep sites safe and accessible.

The role is full-time (40 hours weekly) with on-call duties and occasional evenings for events. A high school diploma or GED and 1+ year of related experience are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1+ year of related experience in maintenance or facilities.
• Position may substitute education/experience equivalently.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain construction and grounds equipment.
• Perform janitorial tasks and clean facilities as needed.
• Complete skilled maintenance such as carpentry, painting, electrical, plumbing.
• Prepare facilities for events and assist with snow removal.
• Adhere to safety rules and maintain a clean work area.
