Job summary

The City of New York is seeking a Project Development Coordinator for Crotona Park in the Bronx. This full-time administrative role supports maintenance and operations, engages community partners, and reviews events using citywide systems.

Under supervision, you’ll assist with grants, volunteer activities, and program calendars while delivering strong customer service and coordinating with vendors and staff. Civil service environment and public engagement are core elements.

Qualifications

• A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college and two years of experience in community work or related duties.
• Alternate: high school graduation and six years of related experience, with at least one year of described experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily technical and logistical support for Crotona Park maintenance and operations.
• Conduct outreach to local groups and assist with developing park constituency and partnerships.
• Process and review Special Events applications and use CEMS for approvals.
• Oversee volunteer projects, track waivers, and maintain inventory records.
• Enter events into the Parks calendar and coordinate staffing for priority events.
• Provide administrative support to the Crotona Park office and deliver excellent customer service.
• Identify grant opportunities and assist with park maps and guides.
• Coordinate with vendors for pricing, deliveries, and purchasing needs.
