Job summary

Pinellas County is seeking a Park/Preserve Maintenance Worker (Custodian) for Fort De Soto Park to perform routine cleaning and maintenance of park facilities, restrooms and grounds. You will work as part of a team, assist visitors, and coordinate with staff on rules and safety. The schedule runs Friday to Tuesday, 6:30 a.m.

to 3:00 p.m., at Fort De Soto Park, Tierra Verde, FL. Responsibilities include cleaning restrooms, shelters, and public areas; driving a pickup or cart; performing grounds

Qualifications

• One year of park maintenance or related experience, or a Diploma from the Public Works Academy.
• Valid Florida driver's license on hire.
• Willing to work varied schedules including weekends and disasters.

Responsibilities

• Maintain restrooms, shelters, museum, tables, water fountains, and grills.
• Drive pickup truck or utility cart to clean the park.
• Assist with grounds maintenance and report needed repairs.
• Perform asset management recordkeeping as required.
• Work weekends and holidays as needed.
