Job summary

The City of Seminole is seeking a maintenance worker for custodial and property upkeep of city parks and properties. Work is supervised by the Facilities Maintenance Supervisor, with occasional guidance from a Maintenance II employee.

Emergency tasks may require extended hours and time away from family. duties include restroom cleaning, trash removal, equipment operation, grounds patrols, and assisting with special events.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required or preferred.
• 1–3 years vocational preparation is preferred.
• Ability to perform heavy manual labor and follow instructions.

Responsibilities

• Performs daily restroom custodial duties and cleans facilities.
• Cleans outdoor drinking fountains and sanitizes playground equipment.
• Patrols parks and reports issues to the Facilities Maintenance Supervisor.
• Keeps parks clean by trash removal and site maintenance.
• Operates power blower and related equipment to keep lots and sidewalks clean.
