Job summary

Maryland Department of Natural Resources - Maryland Park Service seeks a State Park Ranger Manager I to supervise staff and direct daily operations at the Southern Maryland Recreational Complex in Brandywine. You will lead visitor services, resource protection, and ensure safety across park facilities and resources.

You will coordinate with local governments, businesses, and partners to meet program goals, allocate resources, and enforce regulations.

Qualifications

• Eight years of experience supervising personnel in park or forest operations.
• Bachelor's degree with four years supervising in park operations (substitutions allowed).
• Master’s degree in forestry or related field can substitute five years of required experience.

Responsibilities

• Oversee visitor resources, personnel, equipment and facility management.
• Develop plans for visitor services, resource protection, and employee safety.
