Job summary

Guilford County Parks is seeking a Parks Assistant Supervisor to manage day-to-day operations across Guilford County Parks facilities including Hagan Stone Park, Northeast Park, Bur-Mil Park and County Farm. You will supervise grounds and facilities staff, ensure safety, and deliver strong customer service to park patrons.

Responsibilities include recruiting and training staff, managing budgets, coordinating volunteers, and ensuring OSHA and county policy compliance while maintaining park

Qualifications

• Knowledge of machines and tools, their use and maintenance.
• Knowledge of outdoor, naturalist, campground and athletic recreation.
• Knowledge of Guilford County Parks and Recreations policies and safety codes.
• Ability to coordinate group tasks and multi-task effectively.

Responsibilities

• Supervises maintenance of grounds and facilities; enforces OSHA safety practices.
• Hires, trains, schedules, evaluates and disciplines staff; follows county HR policies.
• Assists in budget process by reviewing expenditures and revenue; helps ensure policy compliance.
• Provides excellent customer service to park patrons and resolves issues.
• Performs related duties as required.
• Oversees outdoor Aquatic Center operations and campground registration.
