Job summary

The State of Arkansas is hiring a Park Specialist at Lake Ouachita State Park to assist with daily maintenance, guest services, and conservation efforts. This extra‑help, part‑time position involves cleaning cabins and public areas, changing linens, and supporting park operations to ensure a safe and welcoming environment for visitors.

Work days include weekends and holidays with a typical schedule from 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM.

Qualifications

• Six months of experience in customer service, bookkeeping, retail operations, or related field.
• Ability to work varied schedule, including weekends and holidays.
• Willingness to perform housekeeping, front desk, and inventory tasks.

Responsibilities

• Handle reservations and front desk operations; greet guests and register them.
• Manage deposits, deposits receipts, and refund forms; mail confirmations.
• Maintain guest accounts, balance cash drawer, and prepare daily reports.
• Assist with merchandise display, inventory ordering, and vendor coordination.
• Ensure facilities are clean, safe, and well maintained; support events as needed.
