Job summary

The Arkansas Department of Parks, Heritage and Tourism is seeking a Park Specialist for Lake Ouachita State Park. This extra help role focuses on maintaining cabins and public areas, providing guest service, and supporting park operations to ensure safe, clean facilities.

Starting pay is $14.00 per hour with a typical schedule from 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM. Candidates must pass background checks and a driving record review, possess a valid license, and be able to lift up to 50 pounds.

Qualifications

• Six months of experience in customer service, bookkeeping, retail operations, or a related field.
• Knowledge of basic bookkeeping and accounting principles.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and provide customer service.

Responsibilities

• Receive and confirm room reservations by telephone, and manage front desk operations.
• Greet and register guests, assign rooms, and process check-ins.
• Maintain accurate guest accounts and balance cash receipts.
• Monitor inventory and assist with merchandise/orders.
• Ensure facilities are clean, organized, and meet housekeeping standards.
• Provide friendly customer service and inform guests about park features.
