Job summary

City and County of Denver seeks an Equipment Operator II for Mountain Parks. You will operate light to medium equipment for park maintenance, inspect and maintain gear, log operations, and assist with snow removal as needed.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED and a CDL with endorsements (Tank Endorsement within 6 months). A CDL-B is preferred with endorsements; manual transmission endorsement within 6 months is required.

Qualifications

• Graduation from high school or GED/HiSET/TASC.
• 3 years general labor experience including 2 years operating light to medium equipment.
• Valid CDL with appropriate endorsements, and tanker endorsement within 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Operate light- to medium-sized equipment such as trash trucks, bobcat, and dump trucks for parks maintenance.
• Perform pre/post-trip inspections and basic maintenance on equipment.
• Record trip logs, report defects, accidents, or damages.
• Conduct park maintenance tasks: trash removal, graffiti removal, power washing, etc.
• Interact courteously with the public and coordinate with stakeholders.
• Provide snow removal when required.
