Job summary

City and County of Denver seeks an Equipment Operator II to join the DOTI Wastewater Management team. You will operate catch basin cleaners, sewer jet cleaners, and snowplows, perform inspections, and help maintain safety on assigned routes.

The position is on-site in Denver, with a 6:30 AM–3:00 PM schedule, potential extended hours for weather or snow duties. A CDL-B with tank endorsement is required within 6 months of hire. Training and performance assessments are part of the process.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Three years general labor experience including two years operating light to medium equipment.
• CDL-B with endorsements; Tanker endorsement within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Operate specialized vehicles (catch basin cleaners, sewer jet cleaners, snowplows).
• Perform pre- and post-trip inspections and basic vehicle maintenance.
• Complete assigned routes and maintain safe work habits.
