Job summary

Ottawa County Parks in West Olive, MI, seeks a part-time, year-round maintenance worker to perform repair carpentry, trail grooming, snow removal, and grounds upkeep. Responsibilities include operating common tools, building boardwalks, painting, and assisting with seasonal projects.

Flexible 2–4 days per week; evening/holiday hours may be required. Ideal candidates have chainsaw experience, ability to work with the public, and dependability.

Qualifications

• Experience with maintenance construction trades and common hand/power tools.
• Ability to operate mowers, tractors, and light construction equipment.
• Must be 18+ and have HS diploma or GED preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform seasonal building and grounds maintenance.
• Conduct trail construction/maintenance and landscape tasks.
• Operate equipment such as mowers and chippers as needed.
• Complete tasks in a timely manner per Parks Commission standards.
• Other duties as assigned.
