Job summary

West Ottawa Public Schools is seeking a Grounds Maintenance worker to perform landscaping, mowing, trimming, planting, and upkeep of outdoor spaces. The role also includes snow removal during winter and operation/maintenance of grounds keeping equipment, reporting to Facilities Director.

Work is 40 hours/week, Monday through Friday, full-time, year-round. Successful candidates will have prior grounds experience, ability to work in various weather conditions, and a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• Previous experience is preferred.
• Ability to work in various weather conditions (indoor and outdoor work environment).
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Valid driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Perform landscaping duties including mowing, trimming, planting, and general upkeep of outdoor areas.
• Handle snow removal and ice management during the winter season.
• Operate and maintain grounds keeping equipment.
• Assist with special projects as needed to keep facilities in excellent condition.
