Job summary

The City of Springfield (MO) seeks a Maintenance Worker to support Park Operations, maintaining 105 locations and 3,200 acres. You will operate equipment, perform grounds work, and assist with park facilities and fields. A CDL permit within 90 days and a Class B license within probation are required, and some jobs may require airbrakes. This full-time role includes weekend shifts and benefits such as leave, pension and health coverage.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one year experience operating dump trucks, flusher trucks, skid-steer loaders, front-end loaders or comparable equipment.
• One year of maintenance and/or construction work comparable to Parks & Public Works departments.
• Must take and pass CDL written exam within 90 days of hire; Class B CDL within probation.
• Some assignments require airbrakes capability; endorsements such as tanker or Class A may be needed.
• CPR and First Aid Certification must be obtained within probation.
