Job summary

The City of Gladstone is seeking a full-time Parks & Facilities Maintenance Worker to perform a variety of maintenance activities for City infrastructure in Gladstone, MO. The role requires operating light machinery, maintaining fields and facilities, and assisting with outdoor recreation programs.

Candidates must have or obtain a Class B CDL with air brake and tank endorsements within 6 months, and be willing to work evenings, early mornings, and weekends.

Qualifications

• Requires valid driver's license with a safe driving record.
• Must possess or obtain a Class B CDL with air brake and tank endorsements within 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Inspects and maintains City parks, grounds and facilities.
• Maintains and prepares fields, courts and athletic equipment for sporting events.
• Prepares and cleans grounds, trash collection, restrooms and parking lots.
• Operates light machinery such as tractors, trucks and mowers.
• Performs a variety of construction tasks: painting, basic electrical, plumbing and carpentry.
• Assists in event setup and maintenance during events.
• Supervises and trains seasonal employees.
• Removes snow, ice and debris during severe weather.
• May work evenings, early mornings and weekends as needed.
• Must have a valid CDL with endorsements and a clean driving record.
