Job summary

The Maryland Department of Natural Resources, Maryland Park Service, is seeking a Park Maintenance Program Supervisor to oversee maintenance staff and facilities across state parks. Responsibilities include supervising crews, managing budgets, and coordinating with contractors and volunteers.

You will help with daily park operations, special events, and after-hours emergencies, while ensuring safety and quality standards are met.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Five years of skilled maintenance or construction trades experience.

Responsibilities

• Directly or indirectly supervise maintenance staff and volunteers.
• Perform general maintenance in park facilities (plumbing, electrical, grounds, restrooms, buildings).
• Prepare contract specifications, procure supplies, track warranties, and supervise contractors.
• Manage park maintenance budgets and review plans for efficiency.
• Assist with daily park operations, special events, and after-hours emergencies.
