The Maryland Department of Natural Resources – Maryland Park Service is seeking a Park Technician Supervisor statewide. This role leads maintenance staff, oversees grounds, facilities and equipment within parks, forests or recreation areas, and coordinates contracts and supplies.

The position requires on-site supervision, after-hours responsiveness for emergencies, and the ability to manage crews including volunteers.

Formación

• Graduation from an accredited high school or GED.
• Four years of experience in skilled maintenance or construction trades.
• Substitutions allowed: forestry, wildlife biology or park management credits.
• Military service substitutions may apply as described.

Responsabilidades

• Supervise, lead and direct maintenance personnel in park operations.
• Provide on-site supervision, instructions and follow-up.
• Perform general park facility maintenance (plumbing, electrical, grounds, restrooms, exhibits).
• Prepare or review contract specs, procure supplies and manage warranties.
• Open/close park facilities and assist visitors; respond to emergencies after hours.
